So what would you consider the absolute best way to start a Monday would be?
Chocolate I hear you cry.
Well yes always… but apart from that.
Ok a lie-in would be rather nice also…
With Bradley Cooper… Now where being just plain silly (and a tad unrealistic) Nope non of the above, I’m talking parcels.
Parcels that have my name on.
Parcels full of goodies.
Goodies from Mandy’s Heaven that are all for little old me.
I ripped it open (no seriously I did – like a woman possessed) inside was a beautiful black Fedora. I’ve been hankering after one of these for ages and this doesn’t disappoint. I love the plait detail. It fits like a glove. It was meant to be.
I’m forever in woolly lived in beanie hats, mainly to cover my horrendous ‘growing out fringe’ which is still driving me insane. I grip it back in the comfort of my own home and then I LOOK insane! This hat make a pleasant change. It’s my official posh hat 🙂
It’s available on the website for £33.00
Tassle trim fluffy fringed poncho – £31.50
This is the most gorgeous shade of light grey, it’s fluffy and ever so soft. Fluffy and tassels is always a plus and I an imagine people would want to stroke you the fabric is so inviting.
I’ve tried to find this on the website but I think it may have sold out? I would keep checking if you like it as new stock may come back in.
They also do a full range of poncho’s and another might take your fancy? I’ve featured another grey one a bit further down, so keep reading.
Long line pale pink jumper with pockets which is long enough to be worn as a dress – £36.00
Pink is going to be big in spring 2016 and this is a beautiful pale shade, which would look especially great with grey, tan or denim.
Here I am trailing the hat for the first time. I just plonked it on excitedly with what I had on. I’m like a big kid at times.
What do you think? I love it.
Black Fedora Hat with intricate plait detail // £33.00
“Wearing a hat versus not wearing a hat is the difference between looking adequate and looking your best”
Mandy’s Heaven is a shop / online shop with a difference.
It actually runs out of the living room of a thatched cottage in Hertfordshire. It stocks quality Italian and French fashion, and caters for all shapes and sizes with ladies plus size knitwear and clothing for the mature woman.
It’s an independent, family run business which ‘Naughty Forty Diaries’ are always keen to support. It’s run by a lady and we are most definitely all about the girl power .
So this is how I styled the poncho and Fedora …
50 shades of grey, a taste of pleather and a pop of turquoise. I like alot, though I did have to resist the urge to say “get off your horse and drink ya milk” John Wayne styley.
(coffee and ‘dead plant’ optional)
Pleather trousers – Next //£28.00
Skull Scarf – Primark £4.00 // couple of seasons ago – Similar here
Jumper (underneath poncho) – Marks & Spencers (Boyfriends) // £40.00 – Similar here and here
We still haven’t got a washing machine, or a kitchen come to think of it. Mum’s doing some ( the urgent bits ) of washing for us but she keeps shrinking his stuff. He blames me … he thinks I’m asking her to do it on purpose so they fit me and not him.
Me ? Never
Poncho and Fedora – Mandy’s Heaven (as detailed above)
My yahhhh new clothes face!
I’ve had a flick through the website and along with the items I received here are some of my favourite pieces…

Chunky knit cardigan // £28.00
Faux Fur Colar Silver Grey Poncho // £40.00
Black Ruffle Jumper // £38.00
Grey double Star Jumper // £34.00
Now I’ve saved the best bit for last…
