Food, Goss, Beauty Boxes and Cows…@ The Kaye Arms

A good ol’ girly get together always involves food.  We were long overdue another ‘catch up’, photo shoot and blog post and this time The Kaye Arms, Grange Moor, Wakefield was our host. It has recently been refurbished and we wanted to check out both the new decor and the food.

Armed with what seemed like a dozen cameras and Liz’s daughter Naomi in tow to add a bit of colour to the evening, we set up our impromptu ‘camera club’ and ordered much needed food.

But not before a quick snap!!

IMG_4612Although The Kaye Arms has an A La Carte menu, we all decided to order from the Two Dine menu, maybe it has something to do with us being tight Yorkshire lasses but £12.99 for two main courses sounds good to us…

IMG_4597Tracey plumped for the burger and chips…

IMG_4591And Liz opted for Chicken shish kebab, again with the obligatory chips…

IMG_4590It was extremely busy when we first arrived, which is never a bad thing and usually the sign of good food. The portions were generous and the presentation spot on.

The Two Dine for £12.99 is available Monday to Friday – 12noon to 3.00pm and 5.00pm to 9.00pm. Saturday 12 until 5.00pm. Although we didn’t book we did blag the last table. To stop any unnecessary stress and disappointment it maybe advisable to book especially if there’s a large group of you.

IMG_4596The pudding selection looked and sounded delicious; however we declined as we were all too full. This rarely happens! Having all been dieting recently perhaps our stomachs have shrunk!.

Three coffees it was then. It obviously gave us both our caffeine fix and left us looking slightly dazed… and confused!

IMG_4609Tracey was made up to see one of her ancestors hanging proudly above the fire-place… It was only bloody Great Aunt Myrtle. The resemblance is uncanny isnt it?!

waye 3If any of you watch the TV series Hannibal then these light fittings may freak you out slightly …

IMG_4615Its a real mix of styles, which works perfectly together…
