Style | Anyone for tennis… sorry cricket 🏏

Is there anything more British than wearing a cricket jumper especially as Wimbledon fast approaches? I know, I know … I do realise Wimbledon is tennis [ and not anyway cricket rated ] but it’s sport non the less … and I’m sure you get my general drift!

They’re both very British … ones taken with strawberry’s , the other cucumber sandwiches … you don cool jumpers for both.

I’m not fussy either way…

Can you imagine how delighted I was when Celtic & Co asked if I would like to choose something from their latest knitwear collection. If you’re not familiar with this company I can tell you that they are based in Cornwall and produce classic British designs which are all manufactured over here in the UK.

As soon as I eyed up this jumper I knew it was the one! Like I said I am partial to a jumper that makes me look like I partake in some form of sport … even when I don’t ! Worn off the shoulder slightly too can take it from ‘sporty’ to ‘sexy’Β  [well according to my BF it can]

I teamed it up with my new Coolmax jeans from JD Williams and Adidas Forest Hills trainers mainly because I wanted to wear it straight away .

Ideally I plan to wear it with a floaty maxi skirt and my trainers, only I don’t have the right co-coordinating skirt yet, so jeans it was.

I intend to style them a bit like this [ images courtesy of pinterest]

Such a cool look [ in my opinion]

and below here’s how I wore it.

A lightweight jumper is perfect for our British summer … when quite frankly it can be sunshine one minute, rain the next. Worn with a t-shirt underneath the jumper can be whipped on and off as necessary.

Ideal for the evening too when it can turn a little chilly.

The jumper is made from Geeling Lambswool which is fabulously warm but extra lightweight at the same time. It’s a lovely jumper and one I can see me getting a lot of wear out of it

Women’s Knitwear -Β£94.00

For research purposes and because I was intrigued to see if anybody else on the high street was doing cricket style jumpers I had a quick browse on’t web earlier.

Here are a couple of other jumpers I spotted…

Obviously these aren’t made from lambswool, so come in slightly cheaper …

Long sleeve Cricket Jumper Dress – Missguided Β£22.00

Obviously I’d wear jeans or a skirt with this one. Despite stating it’s a jumper dress it would be far too short for me.

Being 5′ 10 has its positives and negatives. Negatives are that dresses are often too short for me, as are some trousers. Certain trousers have in the past left me looking like Captain Kirk of the Star Trek bloody Enterprise!

Not my best look…Β  but oh how we giggled

Cream Oversize Cricket Jumper – Missy Empire Β£20.00

V Neck Cricket Jumper – Missguided Β£15.00

I’m loving this whole look with the mini leather skirt. Again not something I could get away with but great inspiration non the less.

So that’s my little round-up of cricket jumpers …is this a look you would channel? I’d love to know as always in the comments below.
