It was like a sign … a sign that my mum was watching over me. Having been an Avon lady for most of my childhood I swear she sent this opportunity my way. I know I sound like a fruit-bat but I got a little teary.
I was so thrilled to have even been considered. Avon is one of those companies that’s always been around and you trust them. My Gran used it , my Mum swore by it and I dabble every now and again. So when Avon approached me to try out the new night cream how could I say no?
For the past 4 weeks I have been using the new night cream every night before bed. It’s unlike anything I have used before as in its a two-phase treatment which you rotate weekly. Both powerful anti-aging creams are contained in the one bottle – one half is gold and numbered 1, the other is black and numbered 2.
Skin [ below ] at the start of the 4 week Treatment. I am 47.
Week 1 is Glyco+ complex [glycolic acid] which resurfaces the skin and nourishes it. Glycolic acid is the daddy of exfoliation; it effectively removes the outermost layer of dead cells from the complexion to reveal brighter, fresher skin. It is often used to treat scarring, discolouration and wrinkles
Week 2 is super-retinol complex that smooths out wrinkles and firms the skin.
Combined together and rotated on a weekly [7 day] basis it makes a powerful concoction that tackles the multiple signs of aging.
Starting with the half marked 1 you take 2 or 3 pumps of the cream and apply it directly to dry, cleansed skin in an upward and outward motion. You may experience some mild tingling which is perfectly normal as it shows the product working. I had slight tingling myself which disappeared more or less straight away.
After 7 days you switch to side 2. After a further 7 days you switch back to 1 and so forth.
My skin isn’t too bad for its age. I am 47 and I look after it. I’m not overly wrinkly. However I do have concerns about open pores, scarring from acne, the general texture of my skin. Plus one frown line that makes me look angry and my sagging jaw-line.
I applied ANEW Ultimate Infinite Effects Night to my whole face every evening for 4 weeks paying particular attention to these areas.
The main things I have noted over the 4 weeks since I started using this are:
When I wake up I don’t look so ‘crumpled’ up. My skin actually looks well moisturised, plumper and dare I say it clearer. It feels extremely soft to the touch and my annoying frown line appears slightly more relaxed.
The price for the 30 ml bottle [15ml of 1 and 15ml of 2] is only £17.00 which think is a fabulous price-point that doesn’t break the bank. Good skincare doesn’t have to come at a price.
All in all its a great night cream and I am excited to see the results after further usage.
