A few months ago I expressed an interest in trailing some products by Winnie Beau London who specialize in luxurious lip products.
Not long afterwards look what popped through my letterbox.
I was sent a couple of matte liquid lipsticks in Bella [ above ] and Lola.
Bella is an orange / brick shade with Lola being a deep red.
Both initially terrified me [ as much as a lippy can ] as they looked so dark. I don’t tend to do dark lips. I’m strictly a ‘look like I’ve been dug up’ nude / pink kinda girl.
I play up my best feature which I would say is my eyes. I feel dark eyes and a dark lip is a little OTT [on me anyway] . I do love a dark red lip … just on other people.
So what do you think!?
Lola [ below ] was my favourite of the two I was sent.
Despite being slightly too dark for me I did actually like the lipsticks.
The BF hated them on me; he said they made me look washed out. I do get where he’s coming from… I initially thought the same. They took some getting used too.
I switch from matte to oil slick lips [ dripping in gloss] like it’s gone out of fashion and depending on the mood I’m in!
That’s what I love about makeup. You can chop and change, be whoever or whatever you feel like being. Flirty, natural, full on … it’s your choice.
The liquid lipsticks are very matte and they don’t budge. I had to wash my face and scrub away at my lips with soap and water / cleanser to remove them. This is probably down to the fact they are water proof! Something I wish I’d read before trying to remove with just a tissue. Didn’t shift!
The Matte Liquid lipsticks retail at £8.99 each and come in 6 shades – Lola, Bella, Cleo, Coco, Royalty and Willow. They are cruelty free and not tested on animals.
I did find them ever so slightly drying. On the photo above where I’m wearing Bella I have popped a tiny blob of Vaseline over. My lips felt a little tight and needed some moisture.
I’m happy to report the colour lasts. I wore both shades for around 8 hours / a full working day and I only had to touch up once or twice.
This is fabulous for woman on the go who have more pressing matters to deal with other than retouching their lippie every 5 minutes.
I don’t think I would repurchase the matte liquid lipsticks in the shades I currently have but I would be keen to try one of the lighter pinks.
Hey what can I say I like looking like I’ve been dug up !
Are you a fan of matte lippies and if so which brand would you recommend?
Until next time, Tracey x

I think I prefer the coral/brick colour “Bella” … but, I don’t know, I think I’ll stick to my nude/dusky pink glosses …. matte lipsticks just seem to make me look old!!! 😜
Hi Linda,
They are both totally not colours I’d Normally go for tbh. At the moment I’m back on my gloss … a beautiful pale pink. I’m back in my comfort zone. Thankyou for popping across and commenting x
Wow love this! Nice product 😍✌️
