Jumper –

  • A knitted garment typically with long sleeves, worn over the upper body
  • Loose outer jacket worn by sailors

Hands up if you love a jumper?

Hands up if jumper season is exciting you. Autumn is my favourite season and while I love summer , I prefer Autumn fashion.

So if it’s not too early and I’m not wishing away summer … let’s talk jumpers

Ideal to wear alone, for layering … at this time of year as the perfect transitional piece to slip over dresses, shirts or tees IF the weather decides to take a turn for the worse . Let’s face it the weather in the UK is pretty unpredictable at the moment – scorching sunshine one minute … cooler and drizzly the next.

My solution – a jumper or a cardigan – as I said above they are ideal to slip on and off as the temperature does whatever it feels like doing. Obviously the lighter the garment the better so you can carry it around with you.

The 2 jumpers I am featuring on today’s post are ideal. Great quality and fit, not too bulky so they’ll not take up a lot of space in your bag.

I worked with WoolOvers last year so I was delighted when they approached me again this year to choose a couple of jumpers from their vast and fabulous selection to style and share with you. They sell a variety of clothing – jumpers , sweaters, cardigans, polos . Luxurious lounge-wear and colourful accessories

Here’s what I choose …

Rainbow Striped Jumper – £59.00

I absolutely love this colourful , striped jumper teamed with my jeans and Converse for a relaxed weekend look.

It’s 100% Woolen spin Merino with a crew neck, side splits and it is machine washable. It comes in 2 colour ways – Tonal Stripe and Rainbow Stripe. I’m wearing Rainbow.

It is a relaxed fit and is effortless, I guess mainly because it was. It felt casual yet dressy.

That’s a thing right?

I am practising what I preach with my second choice.

I teamed a black vest, leopard print maxi skirt and shoe boots with this simple, plain wardrobe staple .

Isn’t she a beautiful colour ? It actually comes in 17 colours … so there’s a shade to suit everyone.

It is a Cashmere and Merino mix [ 20% cashmere / 80% Merino ] It feels so soft against the skin. It’s a regular fit , great for layering, the perfect basic for your wardrobe.

If the weather decides to fry us again I’ll just whip the jumper off. When the weather inevitably turns worse and winter descends on us ‘proper’… I would wear both vest and jumper then add a long line black jacket.

Stylish but most importantly warm

I love the ‘Midnight Green’ with the leopard print. My boyfriend looked at me and gave me ‘that‘ face but what does he know eh!?

Merino & Cashmere Crew Neck Jumper – £55.00

Sizing wise I ordered medium in both jumpers. This is a equivalent to a 12/14 and fits me perfectly.

Large which I would normally order is a size 16/18 ; I thought that might be a little too big. I guess it depends on the fit / look you are going for.

And lastly I have a unique code kindly issued by WoolOvers –  TNFD20

Use this at checkout and you will get 20% discount off any orders placed. How cool is that?!

So are you excited about Autumn ?

Does a cosy jumper, drinking hot chocolate by a real fire and candlelight excite you ? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

Until next time , Tracey x
