Last night myself and Liz where reunited (and it felt so good) for the first time in a long, long while.
We had been invited and made our way up-to Leeds to attend the Joe Browns Autumn / Winter Collection Preview 2016
I’m always a-bit nervous whenever I attend events / meet new people.
Liz …she was cool as a cucumber armed with her camera and keen to get taking some piccies!
I tend to ramble like a jibbering idiot and get a rash. It didn’t help that my BF told me I looked like a panda JUST as I was leaving the house . Too much Touche Eclat and a heavy hand with the old bronzer!! #makeupfail
I’ll not even mention my ‘DIY’ fringe … (what a wonderful picture I’m painting)
I needn’t have been nervous as Emily (PR & Social Media Manager) gave both myself and Liz the warmest welcome and made us feel at ease straight away. Plus the very first person we bumped into was Kelly ‘The Big Fashionista’ who I’ve never met before but follow on twitter and instagram. She is as friendly and bubbly a personality in reality as I had expected.
We were led upstairs, handed a glass of Prosecco each and told to make ourselves at home. To take a good look around, have a feel, take pics and try on any of the new Autumn / Winter 2016 collection.
We were in our element…
If you’ve not heard of Joe Browns before they offer a unique range of clothing for both men and women.
Bold, bright prints and intricate little details like fancy buttons and quirky detailing make it instantly recognisable.
They believe that everybody is unique and encourage free-thinking individual style. They are not ‘trend’ led and make clothes that people can buy, style themselves in their own way and wear over and over again.
So Lets introduce you the Autumn / Winter Collection which will be available to purchase from August 10th …
I had my eye on the checked blue and red coat which I was immediately drawn too. Its very me. Bold pattern and duffel coat fastenings. Love it.
I’m trying it on (above) but it is only a size 8 so I’m squeezed into it. I’ve not worn a size 8 since I was about 8 ! In the correct size though its kinda perfect though right?
Liz had her eyes on this fitted jacket with fur collar, which again is very Liz and would suit her down to the ground.
What stands out is the attention to detail. The majority of linings on the clothes are beautifully patterned and offer a contrast to the main fabric , as high-lighted below.
The ‘marmite’ waistcoat (above). You’ll either love it or hate it. I personally loved it.
Shoes & Boots
Colourful, heels and wedges. There’s something for every taste
Beautiful shoe boots above … and Liz was quite taken by the boots below.
Black suede lace-up ankle boots (above) are the on the ‘to buy list’
They will be great to wear with both trousers and skirts/dresses and I can envisage I would get a hell of a lot of wear out of them.
SOLD
I’m also loving these shoes, the shape (I love a round toe it makes large feet look dainty) and who can’t resist a big bow.
As most of you are aware I’ve got a dodgy right foot…
if your not aware I’ve got a dodgy right foot… I broke my toe but never got it sorted and it’s now set funny?
I can no longer wear killer heels. I’m pleased to confirm that yes these are heels but they are not sky-scrapers. They are as my mum would refer to them a sensible heel . One which I am able to wear.
Yay for sensible heels!
Accessories:
We both love a good hat and couldn’t resist trying them all on.
Woollie, fedora and flat caps they have them all, plus a range of scarves and gloves.
Mens:
The Offices:
We were given the opportunity to have a tour of their beautiful offices, and we all jumped at the chance.
They are Amazing.
I think we were all secretly envious and wanted to work here too. I was anyway!
Motor-bikes, flags, drum kits, a piano and various guitars.
Relaxed seating areas, funky prints, space hoppers and table football.
The perfect office environment.
It was a great night.
We also won a Bottle of Prosecco in the competition.(Our retweet of the #quirkypair video was picked at random) which topped off the night.
What is this #quirkypair I hear you ask?
On August 13th Joe Browns will be hiding a pair of shoes somewhere in Leeds city centre. These aren’t no normal shoes as they will have £1000 of vouchers in them .
If you find the shoes they are yours!
They will be sending out clues as to where the #quirkypair are on twitter and facebook.
It’s a great idea and will be lots of fun.
If I lived in Leeds I would definitely be getting in on the action.

On a last note we would just like to say big thank you to Emily and all the staff at Joe Browns for making us feel so welcome and introducing us to their fabulous new collection.
Until next time,
Tracey & Liz x
