My mum was a [ding dong] Avon Lady.
As a young girl I would sit for hours playing with her fancy sample kit.
I’d slather thick cloppy creams all over my face and try the tiny lipsticks that ranged from pale pinks through to bronzes and deep reds with great excitement. I was in my element and I swear that this is where my love of all things beauty began… and over the years it’s just flourished.
Which brings us back to today…
After many, many years of blogging I’m now at the stage where brands send me products to trail . I feel extremely lucky and the excitement every time I receive a parcel in the post is as real as it was back when I was sat in mums bedroom playing with her kit . I guess I will always be gob-smacked. I’m a gob-smacked kinda girl !
Today I thought I’d share 3 cleansers with you that I have received over the past month or so. Cleansers I am really enjoying using . I will probably purchase them all for myself after they have ran out.

First up let’s talk about…
Alpha-Paradise Cleansing Dew by 001 London – 100ml £40.00
This is a beautiful product. I ADORE it.
I spend time applying ‘my face’ so I see it only fit I spend time taking it off again. This product makes removing makeup a total pleasure.
It is a luxurious oil that smells delicious and instantly calms my skin. As a first cleanse I apply a few drops and spend time massaging it around my face , in-haling the aroma before removing it with a warm muslim cloth. The aroma makes me happy . They call it paradise in a bottle and I agree … it really is.
Ingredients include jasmine, neroli and ylang ylang.

Age Defend Conditioning Cleanser by ARK Skincare – 200ml £25.00
This cleanser is great for my second cleanse. It has been formulated especially for men and woman in their 30’s and 40’s .
The pump dispenser hygienically disperses just the right amount of clear gel cleanser that has a pleasant but not overpowering scent.
I apply a couple of pumps directly onto my BeGlow TIA [ read about it here] before massaging around my face for a further few minutes.
It is a targeted cleanser with hydrating Moringa Oil to remove impurities, gently exfoliate and boost elasticity.
Kiwi, passion fruit lipids, Vitamin A and high levels of Omega 3 and Omega 6 to assist skins fitness and defend against moisture loss.
It leaves my skin feeling comfortable and clean without any dryness. Lines and wrinkles appear softer. It’s just a really lovely cleanser.

Pore Cleaning Powder by Garden of Wisdom for Victoria Health – 50gm £12.00
This is a slightly different cleanser to the aforementioned as it is a powder. I also say cleanser lightly … it is actually more a mask but it gives your skin a really good cleanse. Key ingredients include Pink Kaolin Clay, Calcium Carbonate , Zinc Oxide.
You take a little of the powder, add water which turns it into a paste and then apply the mixture all over your face. If you prefer you can just apply it to any areas of concern.
You leave PCP to dry for 5 or 10 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. It really leaves your skin feeling super clean, like all the ‘gunk’ has been drawn out by the paste, leaving pores looking more refined.
I use this once or twice a week and find it especially satisfying after I’ve been using sunscreen for a few days.
• Cruelty Free
• Vegan friendly
• Free from alcohol and silicones.
• Shelf life – 12 months
