Imagine if Willy Wonkers Chocolate Factory met Grease the movie – it would result in Kaspa’s. All singing and dancing desserts served in a space that has a feel of a 50’s diner … decked out in Barbie Pink.

Kaspa’s are a chain of new dessert houses that offer hot and cold desserts all under the one roof and fortunately for us Sheffielders a new house opened yesterday at 4, Archer Drive, Archer Road Retail Park S8 0LB

I was lucky to get an invite to attend last night to review it with a few other lovely ladies – Prue, Hannah and Emma.

The choice of desserts is vast and my eyes lit up as I viewed the menu. I was like a pig in mud. Desserts is my ‘thing’

Waffles and Crepes, Cakes and Puddings, Milkshakes, Frappes and a selection of coffees and cold drinks.

I couldn’t resist and ordered from the Sundae selection, mainly because I love a good Sundae and because I knew she would be very photographic!

Hot Fudge Sundae – warm fudge cake pieces, chocolate gelato , swirled soft vanilla ice creams and luxury chocolate sauce – £7.95

Prices are fairly reasonable ; you can grab a slice of cake and a coffee for £3.95, Waffles start at £4.95 and Sundaes range from £6.50 to £7.45. The portions are large and I struggled to finish my Sundae .

It was a thoroughly enjoyable struggle!

Everything looked and smelt delightful. I am reliably informed by the others that the Crepes , Waffles and Cookie Dough with ice cream were also delicious

There is a large car-park within the retail park. Parking is free and we got plonked right outside .

As there are no steps I can’t imagine wheelchair access would be a problem either.

If you love desserts it is definitely one to put on your ‘to try’ list. It would be ideal for children’s parties, first dates… [remember Danny and Sandy in Grease] and any dessert lovers. If you are dieting stay away, this is not the place to go if you are watching your weight. There is far , far, far too much temptation.

I loved it and like Arnie ….I will definitely be back
