Have I told you I’m a frustrated performer? You know the one … can’t sing, can’t dance, [ what do you do ?] but longs to entertain. Longs to tread the boards.
Well it’s no surprise then that I like my clothes to have character too. Your probably thinking what is she waffling on about now …?!
Well basically I like to put my clothes on and take on a new persona. Clothes that give you life so to say. Make you happy.
Take this fabulous coat for example from Joe Browns I pop it on and I’m no longer Tracey from Sheffield [ well I am it’s not that fabulous!] But I feel like I could be the love child of John Lennon [during the Sergeant Pepper days] and a Bond baddie [ a sexy Russian lady one obviously]
It makes me feel sassy …
though I don’t necessarily look it . These photos were taken while I was quite poorly.
I’m not sure if you are familiar with Joe Browns but they are based in Leeds and their clothing is a little different to everything else that is currently on the high street . I guess some might say it’s very marmite. You either love it or you hate it.
Joe Browns are not trend lead , they produce unique clothes for all times. I personally think they have a distinct look to them; I can usually spot a Joe Brown’s piece a mile away.
This coat for example [ which also comes in red ] features a lot of things I associate with the brand . Contrasting luxurious fabric, asymmetrical [ or funky as they refer to it] hemline, the miss-matches pockets. I love it, just look at that collar.
It has a detachable broach which I’ve removed , but only because I prefer it without.
This is a size 14, it is true to size and fits like a dream.
It is part of the 20-piece Ltd Edition Heritage Collection which has been released to celebrate 20 years of Joe Browns. Yes back in 1998 Joe Browns was founded and is still going strong.
They opened one of their first stores in Meadowhall, Sheffield last year . It’s a fabulous shop and if your passing is definitely worth popping in . Its pretty fancy.
ALSO – As part of the celebrations Joe Browns are giving away a fabulous holiday. If you fancy winning a 3 night trip away for 6 people to Snowdonia courtesy of Joe Browns please enter // HERE the competition closes on 8th November so you have time.
I think a black coat will always be a useful addition in any winter wardrobe and Tracey , sorry, Tracey Lennanovsky can’t wait to wear it again !
- Thankyou to Joe Browns for gifting me the coat – as always all thoughts and opinions are strictly my own
