Tracey recommends… #Talika

Every once in a while a hero product comes along and it would be rude of me not to share it with you…I like to share, plus I’m nice like that.

To be honest there are not that many products that ‘knock my socks off ” This did as it had such positive results. Basically it did what it said on the box.

So let me take you back a few years and paint a little picture…

I was once in a relationship ( I say that very, very loosely) ‘the bastard’ (and thats being kind) messed me about to the point where I couldn’t think straight. I started acting irrational.

I became one of those pathetic needy women you want to slap just so that they regain some of there senses. I’m surprised one of my friends didn’t to be honest?!

Everything became a drama. I cried alot because I was frustrated.  I cried because I had become weak, frustrated at the way he treated me. Frustrated I had become  mug!

You get the picture – I was a mess, the relationship was a mess.

Going off track slightly… But it’s important to the story… If I had to pick my favourite feature it would be my eyes ( and don’t hate me ) my long lashes.

As the relationship spirrelled downwards and became more stressful, much to my dismay the eyelashes on my left hand eye began to fall out. I was devastated.  It was bad enough I had shit awful skin. Now my beloved eyelashes were leaving me too.

I blamed the stress – it was literally making my eyelashes fall out!

Within a few days I had lost over half my eyelashes. Some broke off to about a mm long , some disappeared totally.  Basically there was hardly anything from the inner corner, to the centre of my left eye.

I’m a lady who is all about the eyes. I love my black eyeliner. Pride myself on my smokey made-up peepers , complete with ‘lashings’ of mascara… but suddenly I looked odd. Mascara only highlighted the gaps and made the situation worse.

Much to my horror my left hand eye was going bold!!

This is where my hero product jumped in.

I had been desperately researching products for lash loss when I stumbled upon the French company – Talika.

Talika, are and have been eye specialist for more than 60 years, they offer an eye care range for eyelash thickness, growth and length.

It sounded just the ticket.

I excitedly ordered Lipocils and waited patiently… praying that no more lashes fell out. Praying it did what it claimed too.

It arrived a couple of days later. I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy to see a parcel. YAY!!

So for the techy ‘bumf’

Talika Lipocils Eyelash Treatment Gel stimulates eyelash growth for longer, healthier and thicker eyelashes.

Working in just 28 days, this lash enhancing treatment is a total dream for your eyelashes. Whether you feel your lashes look too short, sparse, brittle or lack shine and curl Lipocils Eyelash Treatment Gel naturally lengthens the lashes by up to 2.5mm and encourages a natural shine.

It looks like, and you apply it in the same way you would a mascara.

I used it religiously morning and evening (sometimes in between!!) and within a few weeks I could see little stumps of lashes returning.

Within weeks my lashes were back. Not to their full potential but long enough to wear mascara again.

Now I know what your thinking. My lashes would probably have grown back anyway. I’ve no doubt they would have but maybe not as quickly and in such a good condition

I had another friend who recently had eyelash extensions applied. They looked great for a few weeks but then began to come out in clumps taking most of her eyelashes too. Those that were left were stubby and spiky looking.

She was at a loss ( with stubby Lashes)

I came to the rescue and recommended that she try Lipocils Expert for herself, in fact I gave her mine to try.  I don’t recommend sharing products as eyes can be temperamental things at the best of times. Desperate times however call for desperate measures and what’s an eye infection between friends!

She was equally as impressed and went on to buy her own.

I wear mascara daily and on an evening tend to smoother my eyelashes in Vaseline.

Despite my lashes being in good condition at the moment, every now and again when I feel my lashes need some extra TLC I treat myself to some Talika. You would think nothing of giving your hair a deep conditioning mask, so why not your lashes?

So there you have it in a nut shell. The story of how I lost and regained my lashes.

Just for the record I also regained some self pride. It took a while to admit to myself that said relationship was going nowhere fast. More importantly I realised that nobody (EVER) should make you feel the way he made me feel!

So the moral of the story…

I ditched the negative (the man) and nurtured the positive (my lashes and pride) and I’ve never looked back.

Amazing what a little Girl Power and some Talika can do eh… 🙂

Sounds interesting . My eyelashes are of average length. I had them ‘ permed’ a month before Christmas which was a huge mistake as my eyes reacted really badly , swelling up and being very sore all over Christmas. No smokey eyes for me. I am now reacting to everything I put on or even near my eyes apart from Kiko Milano products which I discovered and tried yesterday but the ingredients you listed look pretty natural so might be worth a try.

You sound just like my friend, who I mentioned in the post. She used it after having extensions and found it worked for her too. Let me know how you get on if you do purchase one x

Might have to invest in one of these, I have worked in the beauty industry years, and poo hoo’d the idea of lash treatments. This really sounds good, and I’ve often noticed how good your lashes are.

      Morning Laurie,
It does really make a difference. It did to mine anyway and I’d never recommend anything that I didn’t personally love.
Thankyou and if you do try it let me know how you get on xx

It’s a great product as it gives them a good condition. I often worry as I wear mascara most days. Vaseline is good but this has extra oomph 🙂 hope your well x
